During her visitation the CEO of Paradise Food Limited, Michael Shields announced that the company is proud of Twain’s victory and has awarded her with a two-year scholarship.
Shield says Twain has exceeded their expectations and is proud that she will be the company’s ambassador for the next 12 months.
Currently Twain holds a diploma in Medical Laboratory Science, with the scholarship that she has been awarded, she says it would make it possible for her to complete her degree as a Medical Lab technician.
She said since joining the pageant, the journey was challenging having to compete against young women who were intelligent, talented and determined like her.
She added that it was enjoyable having made new friends, and meeting new people.
With her new responsibility as Miss PNG 2017, Twain is challenged with empowering young women in the country through education.
Twain’s win qualifies her to represent PNG at the 2017 Miss Pacific Pageant later next month, she leaves at the end of November.
