Murder investigations continue

Footage and other relevant evidence in the death of 23 year old Tabu Airi are still needed to pursue the investigation.

This was revealed by the CID Officer in Charge Ulanvis Mantu who says that the investigation is still ongoing.

The 23 year old Tabu Airi’s body was found on the 25th of October, four days after he went missing while attending an after school party at the Lamana Gold Club in Port Moresby.

It is alleged that the young man was last seen in a drunken state being escorted out by the bouncer’s due to his disorderly behaviour.

However reports have surfaced that the deceased had exchanged punches with the bouncers, and was forced out of the premises.

When discovered, the body of the victim was found bloated and in an awkward position at the end of an air con vent at the garage of the Treasury building; he was found in the same clothes he was last seen in.

The OIC noted that investigation is still ongoing adding that there is still the need for the relevant evidence to be gathered; in this case the CCTV footage from both the Lamana Gold club and the Treasury building.

Mantu says that once this is done the suspects will be brought in for questioning.
